Opportunity Overview
Our client, via Sapflex, is looking for a highly experienced SAP Business Process Architect to take part in a major digital transformation programme built around SAP S/4HANA.
You’ll be joining a high-profile, cross-functional team tasked with designing and deploying new business processes focused on Project Systems (PS) and Controlling (CO). This is a critical position for someone who thrives on bridging business needs with SAP best practices and delivering integrated, value-driven solutions.
You will work closely with both technical and functional stakeholders, advise senior leadership, and take ownership of delivering scalable and compliant SAP process designs across departments including Finance, Procurement, Sales, and Project Management.
Your Role & Key Responsibilities
As SAP Business Process Architect, you will be responsible for both the strategic and technical aspects of SAP process delivery. Key duties include:
Business Process Design

Analyse existing business processes and define future-state operating models

Design and document end-to-end SAP process flows aligned with S/4HANA capabilities

Translate business needs into functional specifications and solution designs
Solution Architecture

Configure and customize SAP Project System (PS) and Controlling (CO) modules

Ensure seamless integration with SAP modules such as FI, MM, SD, and third-party systems like Microsoft Project Online

Work with technical teams to ensure secure, scalable, and performance-driven implementations
Stakeholder Engagement

Facilitate workshops with key stakeholders to capture requirements and align solutions

Serve as a trusted advisor to both business and IT leadership

Provide clear communication and project updates across business units
Project Delivery

Lead the delivery of SAP PS/CO solutions through all phases of the implementation lifecycle

Support system testing, data validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and go-live readiness

Provide post-implementation support and continuous improvement recommendations
Documentation & Training

Produce detailed documentation: specifications, process maps, test scripts, and user guides

Support training sessions for key users and help drive adoption of new systems
Your Profile
We’re looking for someone who brings a combination of technical SAP knowledge, strong business process understanding, and the communication skills required to drive cross-functional initiatives.
Essential Skills & Experience

Minimum 5 years of hands-on SAP experience, with a focus on S/4HANA PS and CO

Strong background in SAP configuration and solution delivery

Experience working in multi-module environments with integration into FI, SD, and MM

Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, cost planning, and controlling processes

Ability to operate independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment

Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Eligible for or already holding UK government security clearance
Nice to Have

SAP Certification in PS or CO modules

Experience integrating SAP with Microsoft Project Online or similar PPM tools

Prior experience working with public sector or highly regulated industries

Knowledge of Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies
