Overview

Our client, via Sapflex, is seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to support and optimise a complex SAP landscape within a large enterprise environment. This hybrid contract role offers the perfect balance between flexibility and on-site collaboration, requiring 3 days per week on-site in Harrow.

As part of the internal SAP team, you will ensure the performance, availability, and security of critical SAP systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • SAP System Administration:
    Install, configure, monitor, and maintain SAP systems across the landscape

  • Performance Tuning:
    Optimise SAP HANA databases and Unix/Linux environments for maximum stability and speed

  • Troubleshooting & Support:
    Proactively monitor system health, resolve issues, and ensure high system uptime

  • Security & Compliance:
    Manage user roles and authorisations, implement best practices in SAP security

  • Patching & Upgrades:
    Perform regular patching, version upgrades, and system refreshes

  • Collaboration & Documentation:
    Work with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions; maintain accurate system documentation

Required Experience

  • Proven experience as an SAP Basis Administrator, Analyst, or Engineer

  • Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, HANA, and Unix/Linux OS

  • Experience with SAP modules and platforms including:

    • ECC, BW, APO, PI, IBP, C4C, Cloud Connector, and Fiori

  • Familiarity with SAP Security concepts (role management, access control)

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and deliver root-cause solutions

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills in a multi-stakeholder environment

Additional Information

  • Work Mode: Hybrid – 3 days on-site (Harrow), 2 days remote

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Contract Duration: 6 months initially (with possible extension)

  • Clearance: Not required, but a plus if held
