Role Overview

Our client, via Sapflex, is looking for an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to join their IT operations team on a fully remote basis. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the performance, stability, and security of a complex SAP landscape that spans multiple environments and modules.

This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to work with modern SAP platforms in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• System Administration:
  Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade SAP systems across the landscape

• Performance Tuning:
  Optimise SAP HANA databases and Unix/Linux systems for high performance and reliability

• Issue Resolution:
  Monitor system health, proactively identify problems, and apply corrective actions

• Security & Compliance:
  Manage SAP roles, user access, and implement security best practices

• Documentation:
  Maintain clear, up-to-date technical documentation for all SAP environments

• Cross-Team Collaboration:
  Work closely with IT teams, application owners, and business stakeholders to design and implement infrastructure improvements

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience as a SAP Basis Administrator, Analyst, or Engineer

• Expertise in SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, and Unix/Linux OS

• Strong understanding of SAP components including:

  • ECC, BW, APO, PI, IBP, C4C, Cloud Connector, and Fiori

• Familiarity with incident response and problem management processes

• Experience with SAP security (role management, access control) is a strong plus

• Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and documentation skills

• Ability to work independently in a remote setup
